Continental Villages Phase I Update
In response to COVID-19, we’ve made modifications to the job site to ensure the safety and well-being of all staff and contractors. These modifications include temperature checks, the wearing of Personal Protective Equipment, encouraging good hand hygiene, frequent bathroom cleaning, and social distancing.
Despite delays caused by the Coronavirus pandemic, the construction team continues to move forward with an anticipated opening date of late September for Phase I.
Currently, we are painting the apartment interiors and installing cabinets. The building exteriors are getting textured, and landscaping is scheduled to begin soon. The first layer of asphalt is completed along with curbs, gutters, and sidewalks, and the fence install will commence within the month. Roof tiling has begun, and the interior door installation is underway. Based on COVID-19 construction safety best practices procedures, we anticipate completion of Phase I in the late fall of 2020.
In addition, Lydia’s Way, the private access road connecting all three phases of Continental Villages, is currently being constructed. Lydia’s Way will be the main entrance to the apartment complex and is named for one of the principals of Continental East Development.
Phase III Update
On Thursday, March 12, we presented Phase III plans to the Moreno Valley City Council. The plans were unanimously approved and received no objection from the City Council or community members. Obtaining Phase III approvals, including all environmental clearances, will allow subject to market conditions for Phases II and III to commence in 2021.
